For our discussion group, I’ll be using my company, Minerva Empowerment Service, as an example. I'm winging it a bit, so if this isn't what you had in mind, please feel free to let me know!
Attributes of the Minerva Empowerment Service:
Minerva Empowerment focuses on helping women in business by offering support like website creation, business planning, market analysis, marketing strategies, and ensuring compliance with sustainability legislation. Here's a breakdown of some key attributes:
1. Target Group:
Women entrepreneurs and business owners Businesses looking for growth and sustainability compliance
Core Services: Website Creation: Building an online presence Business Planning: Strategic growth planning Market Analysis: Identifying target markets and competition Marketing: Developing strategies and campaigns Sustainability Compliance: Making sure businesses follow sustainability laws and best practices
Empowerment Goal: Leadership Development: Encouraging women to take on leadership roles Business Growth: Helping women expand and grow their businesses
Ethical and Sustainable Practices: Focusing on sustainability and ethical operations
Outcome-Oriented: Aiming for measurable business growth and market expansion
Prioritization: Leadership Development vs. Getting the Product to the Right People
If I had to prioritize, I’d lean towards Marketing Development. The reason? Building marketing can have a lasting impact on the success of their businesses, it can be the difference of reaching their market group or not. So basically effectively market and position their products. People need to be reached to know what you have and why they their life will be better with it.
Expectancy-Value Calculation:
OK, I’m in deep here because I don’t know where I was supposed to read this so I just googled it. To assess the potential success of our services, I could use an expectancy-value approach:
1. Expectation (E): Likelihood of achieving business growth and leadership 2. Value (V): The importance placed on growth and marketing by our clients
For example, if the chance of success (E) is 80%, and the value (V) women place on growth is 90%, then the expectancy-value would be:
EV = E × V = 0.8 × 0.9 = 0.72
If I’m not too off, that’s a decent score, showing the high potential and value of our services to clients. But to tell you the truth, these numbers still feel very arbitrary and guesstimates. I feel like I could’ve asked my magic ball if they would succeed or not and what percentage so need help here.
Influences on Purchase Decisions:
Different businesses may prioritize different services. For example some organizations Minerva helps are:
Children’s Daycare: They’d likely prioritize sustainable growth, regulatory compliance, and attracting families, focusing more on business planning and market analysis. Couture Dress Seller: They’d likely emphasize brand positioning and marketing to high-end customers, focusing more on marketing strategies, website creation and web sales.
Brand Consistency vs. Variance
The core of Minerva’s brand is consistent—supporting women in business and offering sustainable solutions and advertising to their target group that they are providing such a service and why. But the services may vary based on the needs of different businesses. A daycare might prioritize sustainability compliance because that’s the target group they wanna entice of like-minded sustainability friendly families, while a couture brand might focus more on marketing and branding that reaches people willing to pay a lot of money for fancy dresses.
So in short Minerva Empowerment Service is all about business development and growth, and marketing. While marketing development might be a priority, it’s important to balance that with helping clients reach their target markets. Different businesses will focus on different aspects of what we offer, but our brand remains centered on empowering women to succeed.
Let me know if this is along the lines of what we're supposed to do! Also, how many words are expected in the discussion group contributions?
